GIWA MAHOTSAV to celebrate “Homemaker ki GIWAgiri” 

GIWA women association’s annual event witnessed eminent personalities with GIWA homemakers, organised on the 27th August 2022 at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. 27th August 2022- The day which would always be engraved in the minds of the GIWAs who witnessed the GIWA Mahotsav live and also in the minds of all the others who were left behind and could not attend. Taking the thought of helping each of the GIWAs fulfill their dreams, GIWA MAHOTSAV became the most apt platform where most of the GIWA members came forward to exhibit their immense talents and versatility to the complete GIWA family during the annual day which also marks the successful completion of 2 years of GIWA. GIWAs got together at The Lalit Hotel, Barakhamba road, New Delhi to participate in and celebrate “HOMEMAKERS KI GIWAGIRI” in the most unique way. The day at the hotel, The Lalit, began with the Diya lighting by the founders of GIWA along with the present dignitaries which included our Chief Guest- Kiran Chopra, Chairperson of Punjab Keshri, guests of Honour- Justice Mini Pushkarna- Delhi High Court, Rekha Sharma- NCW Chairperson, Nidhi Bansal- Director of BoostNet and Kiran Sethi- Sub Inspector, Delhi Police. 

Based on the idea of giving women “Wings to fly”, GIWA women association aims at helping women from diverse backgrounds to come forward and fulfill their dreams. Giving them the requisite platform to showcase their talents and getting for them the much awaited accolades. The day was a fun fact day, where women from all across India witnessed and participated in GIWA MOHALLA fun act, various fashion shows, skit and dance performances as well as GIWAgiri awards for homemakers. GIWA has members from countries such as Nepal, Dubai, Singapore, New Zealand participated. “GIWA Mahotsav is an occasion to celebrate togetherness and to thank all our GIWA members, leaders and experts for one full year of effort.” GI Ravi Shorey On one side, women were cautious of COVID 19 situation and were seen wearing masks and sanitizing their hands and on the other hand, they were also enjoying themselves to the core.GIWA leaders and experts have come together and projected themselves via fashion shows in We’re GIWAs. The key attractions of the show were ‘CHAI PE CHARCHA’- the most unique interview platform for the homemaker GI Monica Chauhan with our Chief Guest, Kiran Chopra, and ‘MANTHAN-’ the first of its kind conference platform for homemakers. GI Prachi M Kaul had a discussion with the panel of all our Guests of Honour, including- Justice Mini Pushkarna, Nidhi Bansal, Rekha Sharma and Kiran Sethi. “The narrative of Aurat hi Aurat ki dushman has changed. GIWA is the live example of women supporting other women and giving wings to each other” – Kiran Chopra Though acts like skit, fashion shows, dance performances and GIWAgiri Mohalla, the GIWA members were out to showcase their immense talent and took the audience through the year gone by. A combination of skit and dance, the act was super energetic, fun and engaging for everyone present. 

GIWA has brought forward the most unique concept of GIWAgiri Awards which were given to women as ‘homemakers’. The women seemed proud, honoured and spellbound by the respect and acknowledgment. GIWA ki GARIMA Award was the most sought after wherein the homemakers competed openly with each other. An interesting concept- based photo booth, 360 camera shot also drew the attention of the GIWA members. Before the closing of the event, GIWA Members presented the most mesmerising GALA FASHION SHOW which showcased the GIWA members as models walking the ramp. To conclude, the day was celebrated to celebrate our 2nd year of success and open avenues and paths for a brighter tomorrow. GIWA is growing by leaps and bounds and the plan is also to make it global.
